Ingredients:

For the base curry:

  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Onion – 2 (finely chopped or paste)
  • Tomatoes – 2 (puree or chopped)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 1 (chopped)
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 1 cup (or as required)

Spices:

  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 1/2 tsp (optional)

Main Ingredients:

  • Paneer / Boiled potatoes / Boiled eggs / Chicken – 250 gms (as per your choice)

Step 1: Make the base curry

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and fry till golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies, fry for 1 min.

  • Now add turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder and fry for 2 mins.
  • Add water as required and bring to a boil.

Step 3: Add main ingredients

  • Add ingredients of your choice (paneer, egg, veggies, chicken).
  • Cook for 10 minutes on medium flame.
  • Add garam masala and kasuri methi and mix well.

Step 4: Serve

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with roti, rice or paratha.
