- Tomatoes – 2 (finely chopped)
- Green chilli – 1 (chopped)
- Ginger – 1 inch (grated)
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Green Coriander – for garnishing

Step 1: Preparation
Peel and wash the lauki and chop it into small pieces. Chop tomatoes, ginger and green chillies too.
Step 2: Tadka (tempering)
Heat oil in a pan or pressure cooker. Add ginger and green chillies first. When the aroma starts coming, add tomatoes.
