Ingredients:

Main Ingredients:

  • Fish pieces – 500 gms (Rohu/Katla/Bongan or your choice)
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – to taste

For Gravy:

  • Onion – 2 medium (finely chopped)
  • Tomatoes – 2 medium (grated or grated) Puree)
  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 1 (chopped)
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Water – 1 cup or as required

Dry spices:

  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 1/2 tsp (optional)

Step 1: Marinate the fish

  • Marinate the fish pieces with lemon, turmeric and salt for 10 minutes.
